Singing the Praises of Suriname
For the last few years we’ve produced corporate materials for Staatsolie, the state oil company of Suriname. It’s given us the opportunity to learn about this fascinating country, the smallest in South America, which is 93% covered in pristine jungle, perhaps one of the world’s great treasures. It turns out Suriname is also rich in offshore oil, with 5 major discoveries in the past 12 months. Another discovery: we’ve learned that the Surinamese are also really into bird song competitions, as featured in this NY Times story. We’re currently writing and designing the 2020 annual report for Staatsolie. Here’s a link to the completed report for 2019, when the country was just on the cusp of the transformations to come from major offshore finds.
