When it first came to our attention that former SullivanPerkins staffer Somere Sanders had published a children’s story, with illustrations from former SullivanPerkins staffer Robert Soto, we thought – how sweet. But then things got strange. According to Somere’s bio on Amazon, where her book can be purchased, Somere now “lives in a purple polka dot house on top of a rainbow. She has 30 purple pig pets that only eat purple lollipops and she rides to work in a purple hot air balloon.” Hmmmm. And as if that wasn’t strange enough, there’s this: “When she’s not writing amazing adventures for children, she designs children’s clothing from children’s donated artwork at Jboi inc.”
