Everyone knows that we need better math and science education in our schools, and we need more graduates skilled in math and the sciences. But not everyone is as capable of actually doing something about the problem as the National Science and Math Initiative. NMSI, here in Dallas, has produced remarkable results.

NMSI helps innovative programs such as UTeach (developed by UT Austin) and other outstanding initiatives roll out nationwide. NMSI has trained more than 50,000 math and science teachers, and has a goal to train another 25,000 by 2025.

NMSI is increasing the number of students who are passionate about math and science and succeeding in math and science classrooms. Our country is waiting for them. Today, there are 2.5 entry level jobs posted in STEM fields for every graduate.
